What Our People Say About Us

At Future Academies, our success is built on the relationships we foster with our community, staff, and partners. Hear directly from those who know us best – their words reflect the passion, trust, and dedication that define who we are.

Billy Jones, Contracts and Compliance Manager, Central Team

"The culture at Future Academies is like no other. Having worked in big organisations previously sometimes the personal touch is lost through the layers. Future Academies is a place where everyone feels welcome or belonging to the same community working together towards a common goal. The leadership team is approachable, transparent in their dealings and always available to support and guide us in our work. I’m proud to be a part of such a dynamic, supportive, and innovative Trust."

Ray Ekhator, Head of Year 10, Trinity Academy

"As the Head of Year 10 at Future Academies, I have been privileged to play a key role in shaping the academic and personal growth of our students. The Trust’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity and high standards has been a constant source of inspiration in my journey.

The team’s collaborative spirit and dedication to student success create an environment where staff feel empowered to make a meaningful impact. I’ve particularly valued the opportunity to work closely with colleagues, students, and families to address complex challenges, such as supporting vulnerable students with SEN needs and navigating behavioural or attendance issues.

Future Academies equips staff with the tools and autonomy to drive positive change, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation that I am proud to be part of."

Aziza Ajak, Vice Principal, The Grange Academy

"Working at Future Academies has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The Trust's unwavering support ensures that senior leaders feel empowered in their mission to transform education and improve schools. There is a refreshing sense of alignment about the purpose of schools and what great looks like. Opportunities to collaborate with experts and colleagues across the Trust have been invaluable in my growth as a leader, offering development opportunities I haven’t encountered elsewhere. The work itself is both stimulating and engaging, and the incredible staff and students I interact with daily make every effort worthwhile. What stands out most is the culture of high expectations, openness and joy among leaders, which allows me to contribute to driving change not just at the school level but across the entire Trust."

Daneille Starkey, Teaching Assistant and Pastoral Administrator, Millbank Gardens &  Primary Academy

"What I value most about my role at Millbank Gardens Primary Academy are the opportunities to have meaningful impact on children's progress and development, through sharing ideas and knowledge with other members of staff. No matter the task, I always feel like I am contributing towards a bigger picture for the benefit of our students lives, and for the school community. Knowing that I am part of the trust that prioritises students' learning and well-being motivates me to learn and grow as a teaching professional and pushes me to do the best I can for those around me."

Jen Moran, Associate Assistant Principal and Head of MFL, Phoenix Academy

"I joined Future Academies on the Future Teacher Training programme in 2020 and have worked at two schools within the Trust. During my training year, I was supported by an incredible mentor and received excellent training. This has massively shaped the teacher I am today. I really appreciate the detailed approach to curriculum as well as how teacher development is valued so highly at Future Academies. In my role at Phoenix Academy, I feel lucky to be working with a group of teachers who are dedicated to being the best that they can be for our students every single day."
