The Future Curriculum

Future Academies has designed curriculum materials for our schools for over a decade. In 2012, we established The Curriculum Centre to support subject leaders at Pimlico Academy in developing an ambitious and knowledge-rich curriculum. Since then, we have employed our primary and secondary teachers to research and write curriculum programmes that are culturally rich, informed by cognitive science, and written with memory in mind. 

The Curriculum Centre has produced an ambitious, shared curriculum in a number of subjects for Future Academies’ schools. Our schools benefit from subject networks and a subject leadership model that places the importance of ‘what students learn and why’ at the heart of everything we do.  This collaborative model means that our pupils benefit from a carefully thought-through and cumulatively designed curriculum, and our teachers benefit from a subject-specialist focus in their professional development.
